Sonke Gender Justice Network hereby invites tenders for the provision of the following services in several countries within Sub-Saharan Africa:
This tender is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida). The activities within the tender should ideally seek to address the following objectives: · Strengthening national organizations/MenEngage country networks · Strengthening partnerships/strategic alliances, particularly with other civil society organizations, youth organisations and UN agencies · Implementing the UNFPA Africa Regional Framework on working with men and boys for the promotion of gender equality · Policy development and advocacy · Campaigns and community mobilization targeting men and boys · Strengthened monitoring, evaluation, and research systems
In the selection process, additional points will be awarded to organisations which display the following: · Demonstrated commitment to, and extensive experience and proven track record on, promoting gender equality, human rights and social justice, ideally with a focus on engaging men in gender equality/working on masculinities · Experience in the delivery and project management of community-based programmes/policy advocacy/research focusing on engaging men and boys in the promotion of gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence and HIV · Existing in-country partnerships, including with key women’s rights organisations · Strong financial and operational management processes Successful bidders must also be willing/open to Sonke carrying out a pre award assessment.
